This painting depicts Stanley J. Brenner who was affectionately known as Jack who was the Tyler (Guard) of Ancient York Lodge No. 89 for years and years, and was one of the most beloved masons in Nashua. This painting was given to the Lodge as a gift to be placed above where he sat in his station so that he could continue greeting his friends years after his passing in 2019.
“Jack was the Tyler (guard) of my home Masonic Lodge in Nashua, NH for years, and was always the person who greeted you when you arrived. When he passed away, I painted his portrait to hang where his station was, so that he could continue greeting us every time we arrived.” -Ryan Flynn
